Q:Are picture framing courses held year round?

A:Yes. Every season is magnificent in Mt Shasta and a perfect time to visit. There are times during the winter that makes getting around a bit more of a challenge. Other then holidays picture framing courses are held year round.

Q:How far in advance do I need to schedule my week?

A:Our goal is to accommodate your needs to the best of our ability. To reserve your week call Sandra Landes directly, at Art to Be Framed at 530 926-3609. We will work with you to find a time that will fit your schedule and your travel arrangements.

Q:How do I reserve my week?

A:We hold only two courses a month with no more then two guest per course. Call Art to be Framed at 530 926-2075 to reserve your week. A business or personal check for your deposit will reserve your week.

Q:Is Sandra Landes the only Instructor?

A:You betcha! We're small but you get the best, talent and creativity that will make your time so well spent.

Q:How do I get there from here?

A:Mt Shasta. To get here you can fly into Redding; Ca. and we're a 60-mile drive north up I-5. Or you can fly into Medford, Or. and we're an 80-mile drive south on I-5. Renting a car is a nice option. Our area is remarkable for its natural beauty. Arrangements can be made for airport pick up and return for an additional cost.

Q:Six days and five nights, how does that work?

A:We provide lodging for Sunday night to allow you to awake relaxed and ready to begin a fun and educational week of picture framing. Your lodging is included from Sunday to Friday nights. You are totally stress free. No traveling, only a trip down the stairs. No looking for breakfast, lunch, snacks, coffee, soda or even an evening glass of wine. You have it all.

Q:Will I return home with completed pieces of framed art?

A:Yes. Each guest will leave with two to four famed art pieces as well as many samples.

Q:What types of art will I be working on?

A:We ask each guest to bring several small art pieces. They can be personal or just interesting. We like to have a small object to create a shadow box. Art work is available if you have no special projects.

Q:Do you have cats?

A:Two very handsome guys, Mr. Muffy and Maxwell.

Q:Breakfast and lunch, but what about dinner?

A:We're rather laid back here. We also have to eat, but " Does Sandra cook?" Truth is she's a far more talented framer and designer then cook. But we do offer our guest to hang out and feel at home. You can walk to town (1/2 mile) to one of our quaint restaurants, you can cook, we can split pizza. It's flexible, eating dinner in or out is your choice.
